This is definitely one of my favorites by her. It gets stuck in my head. I'm glad that she gave another ballad a chance, finally! I'm really hoping these remixes don't disappoint because all of the unofficial ones so far have been abyssmal.
Update: The Bimbo mixes are so, so, so, so disappointing. No thought was put into it. All of the pop-chords were stripped away leaving a cookie cutter mix, with sped-up vocals. It's a bare-bones remix that's only purpose is to just give the song a dance beat. :(
This song has SO much heart, so is it that hard to get a remix that also has some heart? I would take an Almighty remix at this point.
(and don't get me started on the Bassjackers mixes that try to create an eletro-throwdown vibe).
Maybe the Chus and Abel mixes will come through!

Okay so I finally heard the Chus and Abel mixes to finish out the package. Again, everything that made this ballad wonderful, has been stripped clean in these mixes. Because the heart of the song is removed, the club mix is tough for me to listen to. The dub is hot, but isn't distinct from any other dub other than a few vocal tidbits letting you know it is Rihanna.
I would say this entire package was a massive disappointment. The remixes are all the wrong direction for this song. I would love to hear some unofficial remixes, but since so few have surfaced, I'm not holding my breath. Totally bummed.

Don't really care for the other two mixes though.

If I had to choose one, it would be the Bimbo Jones one, but it's just incredibly weak. I thought the Chus & Ramos one had some good parts, but it just never clicked for me. My local station has been playing the Goon Rock mix. I really like that one. It gives it that extra something. |

This was a good chance to take a ballad and really turn it on its head, but just became a missed opportunity. Maybe Demi Lovato's label will give Skyscraper a shot, but I was hoping that CKB would be the return of the ballad-turned-anthem that we've been missing lately. |

The remixes could have helped but they just dont cut it maybe the Danny Desai remix one but even that lacks ..something  i love this song alot tho could be about Matt Kemp |

FINALLY! a remix with the original chords!
For those of you looking for something in the Hommer style, check out the John W. For You Nic Mix (5:04). It's super poppy!
(Small complaint: it doesn't use the bridge or the vocals from the final chorus, but it's still good considering the cruddy alternatives)
